09/19/09: Addendum (the bulk of this post is in the previous edition; I forgot to add these amazing pics) USCG base in this town. These pics are at the entrance to the base.
I think they are cool. A couple plane-copters flew over while I was out in this neck of the woods.
Perseverance. That's a definite theme in my life. This triking venture is merely the next journey in growing Faith. Sometimes that's all there is to hold onto.
I've always stated that I want to be included in the Hebrews, Chapter 11 "Hall of Faith". Be aware that GOD hears/responds to our prayers!
I use to be a runner (couple marathons completed, even better than Oprah's time). Now, I'm a triker.
Hebrews 12:1 talks about running, with perseverance, the race set before you, to attain the prize, being encouraged by those who have run before us. Well, I'll never be a runner again, but I am a triker and I want to finish the race and be an encouragement to those "triking" with me and those who will be right behind me.
On Jan 22, 2008, someone crossed the center line and head-on collided with my vehicle. A "near-fatal" auto accident. 35+ broken bones; 0 internal injuries. Mild traumatic brain injury. And a forever changed life. Faith. That's all there is to hang onto. GOD's purposes are continually being revealed through this journey. Just at the moment I am able to respond. Oftentimes at the moment of my deepest despair, I finally surrender. Then, Faith is rewarded.
